Get to know Bob Fletcher
Bob Fletcher and his Dad, Bob Sr, worked on several Winter Carnival Projects from 1986 to 2004. Bob Sr worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and was the Project Engineer for the 1986 Winter Carnival Ice Castle near Lake Phalen. Bob Jr. was the Traffic & Access Coordinator for the 1986 Ice Castle and he provided security for several subsequent Winter Carnival Projects.. Bob's Mom, Dee Fletcher was active selling Winter Carnival Buttons. Bob Sr and Dee were honored by the Winter Carnival with the Ad to the right. Young Bob helped produce two booklets describing the construction of the 1986 & 1992 Ice palaces. Those Fascinating booklets are pictured Below in their entirety. Bob SR is pictured in the Photo above as he stands in the "Man-Basket" in front of the 1992 Ice palace on the night it was completed.
